HI Karen, Hope you are doing well! That was my first convention and I had a ball. I took EVERY class opportunity and even came to all the early morning sessions. It was very interesting to experience the culture of face and body painting. I went there especially to get marketing ideas and it did give me some information of routes I could take . I met with Kerry and she was darling and sweet… I also took that one on one with Lea Selley all about WordPress afterwards and I came home and totally changed my website because of that…. sorta took me off the search engine line up, but I’ll regain that… I couldn’t do much more business than I am right now. I’m tired but very happy! It’s going great! I really enjoyed the experience and was amazed at the quality of teachers! Thanks again! Kim Millen
Dear Karen,
What a wonderful experience I had attending the Face Painting convention 2011!. I was able to build a stronger face painting arsenal of photos, equipment, skills and technique which I expected to do. What I did not expect to receive was the marketing expertise, and the balloon jamming sessions, and the wonderful new contacts.
What a whirl wind of wonderful options for professional growth.
So grateful for this opportunity. In addition to more creative designs, I now have had the confidence to host to face painting workshops; One for children and one for adults with more to follow.
Thanks to you and and an amazing crew for a phenomenal experience.
Sincerely,
Anna Minter

I would love to attend the convention. I have been disabled for 6 yrs and have always loved painting. I have been face and body painting for 3 yrs now just getting started with my own cards and flyers and getting my name on the internet in some gig places. I have never been to a painting convention except for arts and crafts when buying for m wood paints. I have been doing parties and several stores events. but would love to learn more about this art.
I have been a caretaker for my husband for 7 yrs and am just now in the past yr been able to leave and get out of the house for myself.
Thank You very much for giving me a oppertunity to maybe win I am going to try to go but will have to borrow money to do so . that is why I havent made any reservations yet. I have to see if I can borrow the money.
Thank you so much

Thank you for the opportunity to win. I love to do face painting and have been face painting for couple of years. I volunteer to do face painting at our local elementary schools for special occasions and like to teach children and believe we need to start teaching young children to keep the arts growing. I do face painting and painting at 3 different assisted living facilities. The adults love to have their arms painted and it does puts a smile on thier faces. Lastly I have done facepainting with my sorority and then give the money raised to Riley Children’s hospital each year. Facepainting is a great way to reach out and give back to my community. I would really like to attend this convention to learn as much as I can. Again thank you for this wonderful opportunity to win.
Dangit, I JUST looked into rates, etc and found out about the scholarshipt winners, I had no idea such an opportunity existed or I would have investigated much sooner, I just thought financially there was NO WAY I could attend this any year soon. I know it’s too late for this year, but how soon will you start accepting scholarship apps for 2013? Please let me know, or put me on the info/mailing list if there is one. Thanks so much! Best wishes and thanks for all you do!
Sorry you missed our scholarship timeline. If you would like, we have a $50 off registration fee for those that attend one of Mark Reid’s classes and you can register under that. Go to the registration page which will take you to Eventbrite. Sign up under the MARK REID class special. Hope that helps. Scholarship apps for 2013 will start in October.
